Photo pop-ups and Tuff Tags!

Close to My Heart released these sute tags called tough tags, they are adhesives backed tags that are faux leather, and stictched canvas.  They are so sute and and some rugged flare to your page.  Pair them with crossed hemp sticthing and some wooden buttons for fun

Do you want to bring some attention to a particular photo or just add some dimension to the pics?  Use some 3D foam tape to pop your pics off the page!

TREND ALERT! - Bottle Caps, these are a fun way to add dimension to your page!  I added rub-ons to give the caps some more flare!  What a fun way to decorate!

So much fun with Stella!

The Close to My Heart Stella Paper is so pretty I had a lot of fun matching it with some cute new crochet embellishments, and buttons in the first two layouts

The next two photos feature a close up of the dimensional flower I created.  Inspired by the cover of the Close to My Heart idea book for Spring/Summer 2012.  The delightful colour pallette of this paper is so versitle, it can be matched with so many themes.

I went to the Scrapbook and Cards Today Crop and Create in Markham in January and I thought I should share with you the neat technique I learned with zippers, and then I used the technique on a page that I entered into the contest: "Old - New - Borrowed - Cool", they provided a page sketch and you had to include something that old, new borrowed and cool!  I used old card stock I have had for years, it has a fiber core so I sanded it to give it some texture, I used my new zipper flower I had just made, I borrowed some of my Mom's bakers twine (Thanks Mom!) for the stiching and then I used pictures of my son's "hockey party", because hockey is "cool".   The best part if I WON the contest!  Look for photos of all the contest winners in the next issue of Scrapbook and Cards Today, it is a great book for inspiration!

So I attended a great event put on by Scrapbook and Cards Today WOW can I say, that was the greatest!  I loved all the amazing teachers and I was so inspired to be in the presence of some seriously amazing scrapbookers!  I even won a contest which I will show you the winning page soon!

I attended one class based on an article in their magazine called Easy/Detailed/Expert, and here are two if the three pages that I completed!  I so love Vicki Boutin's style she has such a great way about her creativity that I truly enjoyed!  Thank you Vicki for your inspiration~
