Paisley May

I Little Digital fun, I had not created a digital layout in a while soo I thought I would brush the dust off and put one together!  This is our new puppy, she is already much larger than what you see here, like three times bigger! But this was taken a few days after she came to our home.  We were really tired the first few weeks I forgot how hard it is to function on so little sleep , but happily for everyone she sleep thru the night now, well mostly sleeps!  The children all seem to really enjoy her, and all our our neighbours like to comment on how big she is getting.  She loves to play with her toys, only barks at our cat Lily when she wants to play with her.  She makes a small whine for attention and to go out to pee, she is a great dog and we are really happy she is part of our family! :)

Big REVEAL!

Hello, and welcome to a big day! Today is the first reveal of a the new team from Sketchabilitites, that I am honoured to be a part of !!!!  This DT is very exciting for me, I love these sketches and the team is a very talented group of ladies!!!!   This day also landed on the reveal day for Color-Me-Scrappy, I have been a port of that team so several months and am excited to continue on with them...So I made a different page for the CMS colour challenge however since the launch was on the same day I used the Sketchabilities sketch to do guide my layout!  So all this fun adds up to TWO layouts in this post and TWO places to go for more inspiration at the above links!!!! Have fun and enjoy all that hard work of both dedicated DT's.  OHHH Be sure to check out the sites and play along with their challenges for the fun prizes or just for fun!

SKETCHABILITIES:

Fancy Shadow Box Frame

I absolutely love this frame!  I had plans for it instantly as soon as it arrived in my order!  I added some felt rub-ons as well as some burlap and stamped cricut cut shapes.  All of the products shown here are form Close to My Heart.  I am really pleased with how this turned out and it has now taken up residence on my wall in my new living room!!!

Got Fish?

This page was a bit of an experiment for me to try to use up some bits left over from my paper pack!  I rarely use the zip strips on the edges of the page although I love how some companies make them "usable" I for some reason end up with them left over...huh?  Anyway this page was an effort to use them up!  I am loving this picture too, I am not sure what they were fishing for since they were several meters from the shore sitting in the back of Daddy's truck but hey...fun is fun!

DT CALL - COLOR-ME-SCRAPPY

I have really enjoyed my term with CMS and have decided to stay on for another term!!!!  And boy an I excited that I am they are changing things up a bit and it sounds like it is goign to be even more fun!!!!

Check out the DT Call I copied from the www.color-me-scrappy.blogspot.com website!  Join the team it is so much fun!  See the below message for how to apply!

CMS DT CALL
Our first term is coming to an end and we will be on the hunt for new DT members.

I'm pleased to announce that some of our DT members will be staying on for another term, but we will be adding new members and dividing everyone into 2 teams.  Why, you ask?  Pam and I have decided to make some changes that will make us stand above the rest.

I'm happy to announce that we are going to weekly challenges!  Each challenge will be open for 2 weeks, so that they will overlap and give everyone plenty of time to participate.  They will be revealed each Thursday and will look something like this:

  • Color Challenge + Sketch
  • Color Challenge + "Word"
  • Color Challenge + Technique
  • Color Challenge + Black, White or Kraft BG (This will change each time)
  • On those odd months were there are 5 Thursday's in a month, the last challenge will be a plain old Color Challenge.

As for the design team, you will be divided into 2 teams and will be responsible for a minimum of 2 challenges per month.  We will alternate when it comes to that 5th challenge.  As a DT member, you are also responsible for commenting on participant's LOs and voting for DT Favorite(s).  More details on that later...

Each challenge is sent to the DT at least a month in advance, so there is plenty of time to complete your layout and if you want, you can complete the challenge even if you are not assigned to it.

We've also decided to shorten the length of this term.  This term will run from November - February.

If you are interested in being on the Color Me Scrappy Design Team, send an email to colormescrappy@gmail.com and include the following:
  • Name
  • blog address
  • short bio that will be used on our website if chosen
  • any other online gallery that shows your work
  • Why you think you would be an asset to the team?
  • attach a LO using the following color combo and sketch

Dude!

These kids are so cute in their little all terrain vehicles!  I love how Hunter likes to drive Sienna around!  She rarely get a chance to be behind the wheel with the boys but it doesn't seem to phase her she seems to be having a pretty good time here!!!!

In a Class All Your Own!

I really loved this colour palette (Challenge #11) for www.color-me-scrappy.blogspot.com.  The colours matched so well with my new stuff from CTMH.  I love this stamp of the denim pocket, its a two part stamp that really comes out like denim!  Also used in this layout CTMH patterned paper, canvas stickers and twine.  The Brads are BoBunny, the banner sticker is Simple Stories and Washi Tape.
