Wonderful...

I love these photos of my dear daughter Sienna! She is growing up so fast and I thing she looks so much older than she is in these photos!  The daycare always give you the proof strips too so rather than cut them up I just left them as is for this page!  The colour combo needed a little burst so I added some pink to match Sienna`s shirt!  Of course the challenge was to use some pearls so I accented with some pearl brads I had tucked away in my stash!  Be sure to check out the amazing work of our DT and guests, The guest work and DT pulled out some stunning layouts enjoy and play along!!!  GO TO www.color-me-scrappy.blogspot.com and have some fun with us!!!!

Color-me-scrappy.blogspot.com 's challenge #22 WOW! This one was a challenge as well but this time more a challenge of time, I don't know about you but I am soooo busy with the season.  Anyway it is all over so fast so lets enjoy it right.  Inspired by the cookies I did a Christmas themes page.  My bonus daughter Montana was so excited to get $50 for Christmas last year I just love her face in this picture.  I used some great paper from Tim Holtz, Close to My Heart Cardstock, burlap and ribbon and the rest is CM paper and embellies!

A fish!!!!

This was a great palette and a awesome sketch by Christine!!!!  I love this colours although they were a bit of a challenge but that is what makes this so fun.  I must say it has been tough battling the busy season to find time to scrap, but I am very happy with the way this turned out!!! Despite the fact I had to rush to get it done....sorry girls at Color-Me-Scrappy be sure to check out all the teams awesome work those gals have some super cute ideas! Puppy Love - Sketchabilities

This was a fun page to complete and as always Karan's sketches at Sketchabilities  are awesome to work with.  I have really enjoyed being part of this team, be sure to check out the rest of the teams work and play along for your chance to win a FABULOUS prize!  For this page I used Basic Grey's paper and embellies, some Core'dinations cardstock and American Crafts Thickers.  Simple and cute that is a great fir for my little Sienna.  She looks so cute in her costume for her one dance routine.  They danced to "Who Let the Dogs Out".  How cute is that!  

Cousins

I used My Minds Eye paper, some of the cute twine flowers that we made at the retreat! I love this paper even though it was so busy I thought it was really fun!  I added some buttons and other flowers to bring it all together.  The sepia photos seemed a perfect fit for this page! The boys don't really like getting their picture taken that much!  I will have to get little Kyla used to me taking photos so she isn't so shy!!!!

Color-Me-Scrappy Challenge #14.  This is a great fun pallet to work with, honestly I used my cell phone for the colours and it seemed that the blue was much brighter than my interpretation, however I am still please with the way it turned out!!!!  I love the flowers that I used, the were found in my very large flower collection however I am not sure that I know where they came form so if you love them too...I am sorry that Ido not know where to send you to find some!!! I used  Little Yellow Bicycle patterned paper, Close to My Heart cardstock and ribbon, Studio Callico Washi Tape , Creative Memories Jewels, American Crafts letters, Maya Road pins, and unknown buttons.

Sketchabilities....Love

This is my take on Sketch # 77 at Sketchabilities  This was a great sketch it really gave me a challenge!!  I used What'sUp paper from Basic Grey which picked up the purple in Sienna's dress so well.  I enjoy spending time with my daughter and I can't think of a better way to bond then in a filed full of strawberries!

Forever Us

This is from Sketchabilities challenge!  It is a great layout to work with, I really enjoyed creating a page about my partner John and I.  It is rare that I scrapbook myself and so that's another reason why this is so special! I love the Graphic 45 paper I used in the LO the designs are so classical and elegant. I used Dusty Attic laser cut chipboard, I am Roses Flowers and American Crafts Thickers 

Big REVEAL!

Hello, and welcome to a big day! Today is the first reveal of a the new team from Sketchabilitites, that I am honoured to be a part of !!!!  This DT is very exciting for me, I love these sketches and the team is a very talented group of ladies!!!!   This day also landed on the reveal day for Color-Me-Scrappy, I have been a port of that team so several months and am excited to continue on with them...So I made a different page for the CMS colour challenge however since the launch was on the same day I used the Sketchabilities sketch to do guide my layout!  So all this fun adds up to TWO layouts in this post and TWO places to go for more inspiration at the above links!!!! Have fun and enjoy all that hard work of both dedicated DT's.  OHHH Be sure to check out the sites and play along with their challenges for the fun prizes or just for fun!

I used GRaphic 45 paper, stickers and chipboard as well as I am Roses flowers and assortment of buttons and lace, all of the products int he above layout were in my kit from Scrapn' With Flair 's September kit.  It was fun to work with and I am lookign forward to playing with it.  I went so well into this beautiful layout from Sketchabilities.

COLOR-ME-SCRAPPY:

This page was fun with colour and I finally got some photos on a page from a birthday party for my daughter Sienna that was far too long ago!!!!  I used Basic Grey paper, Close to My HEart cardstock and canvas sticker, My Minds Eye brads and tags, Basic Grey embellishments and American Crafts Thickers for the title, I also used Sktech #75 from Sketchabilities!!!

Some Cards for my awesome Dad's

I am fortunate to have two wonderful Dad's in my life!  I know Father's Day is kinda outdated now, but I have not actually seen my fathers to give them their cards yet!  So its not out-dated to me!  Yay this weekend I will see both of them!  My father who mainly raised my brother and I, has always been been my "go-to" parent, I love him dearly and although he is a very busy man, we always pick up where we left off, and when I need to talk he is always right there, even if that means we talk by phone!  He has always supported my decisions, even if he did not agree they were the best ones.  He has always been there "no matter what", truly that is what makes him my AWESOME DAD!

This is the card for Step-DAD, I love him dearly as well and for different reasons.  Entirely due to me, we had a rough start a long time ago, I made it hard for he and I to get close.  He was persistent on being the great guy that he is and we are now friends.  He has been a wonderful support for me thru think and thin and he is one heck of a Grandpa to my children.  Thanks GG!

Challenge 6 - Hunting for Eggs

Phew I was a little late getting this up, yikes what a crazy week!  Check out all the great looking pages of inspiration at Color-Me-Scrappy and play along with the challenge.  This month there is a mystery bag full of goodies!  Working with a colour palette is really fun, you can combine it with your favourite sketch site to really push the envelope!  Have fun ladies and happy crafting! 

 These colours did not seem hard to me but once I started I became challenged as to how I would get that red in the page!  Nothing like a ribbon flower to fix that! I complimented it with some red letters and a touch of red in the circle paper.  I used CTMH cardstock and patterned paper, Core'dinations embossed, cardstock, Jillybean Soup patterned paper, CTMH shaped acrylic and chipboard shapes. American Crafts and basic Grey letters, CTMH ribbon, rub-ons and brads, Maya Road Button and Fabircland cording trim.

I made these flowers with ribbon and a hot glue gun.

This was an embroidery floss bracelet my bonus daughter made and I twisted
it up to make this cute button embellie!

Special Boy

Can you tell I love this little man?  Well I do so much.  I am so proud of every accomplishment he makes, lately there has been so many!  He rode is bike for the first time yesterday and tied his own shoes just last week...WOW those events for a later scrapbook page but for today his Kindergarten Graduation!

I have to tell you I made this entirely of scraps of paper left over from the other pages I had created with my Pink Paisley Indigo Bleu pieces (some papers, tags and stickers) I picked up at Scrapfest! I even used the back of the sticker packaging on this page, yay recycling!

I also added some American Crafts Thickers and brads for some pop and shine!

And finally a flower, I made this out of a doily, I had seen some other scrapper's using doilies lately and I had some in my stash.  I wasn't excited about just putting them on the page, so I crunched it up and wow it looked like a flower...cool!  Well then it needed sparkle so I sprayed it with some shiny mist! FUN! Then I added a Maya Road pin to go with the star theme.  Very happy with the end result!

My Little Star

This was such a special day, Cater is finished Kindergarten, WOW I cannot believe how fast time flies!

I made this page with Pink Paisley Indigo Bleu line; papers, stickers and sparkly tags.  I added some other  goodies, Bazzill cardstock base, American Crafts Thickers and brads, Maya Road pins, tin and rose ribbon and October Afternoon crochet ribbon.

This Maya Road tin with a clear face is perfect to showcase a cutie smile!

I am loving clusters and Maya Road makes great stuff for clusters!

Challenge #3 for CMS

This is the palette...so pretty!

This is my design for the page challenge #3, I really enjoyed using a variety of materials on this page.  I used the Authentique - Loyal paper, CTMH pompom ribbon, American Crafts Thickers and brads, Basic Grey felt flower, Tag from Pink Paisley and October Afternoon crochet ribbon.

 I am really into using cardboard right now (this cardboard came from the packaging on my new BBQ) I tore up the pieces into scraps to add to my stash!  Yaye recycling!  It needed something more so I added some shine by painting it with pearl paint, but to kept the rustic look, I tore up the sides a bit!
