SWEET!

Color-me-scrappy.blogspot.com 's challenge #22 WOW! This one was a challenge as well but this time more a challenge of time, I don't know about you but I am soooo busy with the season.  Anyway it is all over so fast so lets enjoy it right.  Inspired by the cookies I did a Christmas themes page.  My bonus daughter Montana was so excited to get $50 for Christmas last year I just love her face in this picture.  I used some great paper from Tim Holtz, Close to My Heart Cardstock, burlap and ribbon and the rest is CM paper and embellies!

Brown Hound

I love this page that I created for the Sketchabilities DT Sketch challenge #78.  Be sure to check out all the other DT's work there is some seriously talented ladies over there!  This challenge offers some great picks from Scrap That!  I taught this page at my digital class recently, the ladies enjoyed learning how to create a traditional page using digital art work.  I used Creative Memories Storybook Software and several different digital art kits to create this page.

Perfect 1

Color-Me-Scrappy Challenge #14.  This is a great fun pallet to work with, honestly I used my cell phone for the colours and it seemed that the blue was much brighter than my interpretation, however I am still please with the way it turned out!!!!  I love the flowers that I used, the were found in my very large flower collection however I am not sure that I know where they came form so if you love them too...I am sorry that Ido not know where to send you to find some!!! I used  Little Yellow Bicycle patterned paper, Close to My Heart cardstock and ribbon, Studio Callico Washi Tape , Creative Memories Jewels, American Crafts letters, Maya Road pins, and unknown buttons.

I Little Digital fun, I had not created a digital layout in a while soo I thought I would brush the dust off and put one together!  This is our new puppy, she is already much larger than what you see here, like three times bigger! But this was taken a few days after she came to our home.  We were really tired the first few weeks I forgot how hard it is to function on so little sleep , but happily for everyone she sleep thru the night now, well mostly sleeps!  The children all seem to really enjoy her, and all our our neighbours like to comment on how big she is getting.  She loves to play with her toys, only barks at our cat Lily when she wants to play with her.  She makes a small whine for attention and to go out to pee, she is a great dog and we are really happy she is part of our family! :)

A little Digital for old times Sake!

I have not touched my digital scrapbooking lately so I was in a mood to journal and I thought a digi journal might be in order!  This year has been filled with ups and downs and there has been lots to journal about...I sadly haven't for some reason....I know I should document these times as one day I hope to look back and think "ahhh, much better now!!!"  I hope fr more stable times ahead but I certainly know that there may be more to come.  Thankfully I am happy to say we are moving on and life will get better from here! :)

Art Journal Canvas

Well I was resistant at first and I don't know why...I had not tried this "art journalling" before and I was provided a prefect combination of opportunity and inspiration from my co-designers at Scrap'n With Flair (those ladies are so talented) and the Art on the Severn Art Show I help organize decided to have some committee members show their work as well.

I used the Scrap'n With Flair July Plumeria Kit and some old canvases I had kicking around!  I also used mat gel medium and gesso to get the first few layers down.  Then added some great embellies some from my stash but most of the flowers, bling, pearls, jewels and trim were from the add-on kit. Then I played with adding some colour by using inks that came in the kit and some acrylic paint.

My partner and I just bought a house so we are going to put these in our new living room!

No Pool No Problem

 Another great palette from www.color-me-scrappy.blogspot.com check out the contest there is fun prizes to win.  Working with a colour palette is fun it really pushes you to think outside the box!  I used P&J Basic Grey paper, letters and embellishments for this page.  I also added some October Afternooon twine, Studio Callico tape and Creative Memories letters.  Great fun!  Enjoy!

This layout was made with Creative Memories Enhanced Palette, love the embossed papers and sparkly jewels. To make the outer flower I stuck the designer tape around the edge of a cut out circle and covered up the folds with the sparkles, then added some paper flowers for some POP!

Sometimes paper is just too pretty to cover up so I used an exacto knife to cut out some leaves to pull up over the photos.

 For the letters I used the Cricut This and That by CM as well! 

Challenge #2 Color-Me-Scrappy

This challenge was tricky!  I had to really think about the colours, I used Basic Grey

designer papers and embellishments from their April Page of the month lit, also added

some Harmonie chipboard and Close To My Heart

Cardstock and Creative Memories Enchanted Jewels.
